How to Use the TTRPG Initiative Tracker

Our free online TTRPG initiative tracker helps you manage combat encounters with ease. Track turn order, monitor HP with visual states like bloodied, apply conditions, and share your session with players in real time—all from your browser.

1. Add Combatants

Enter a Name, Initiative, HP, and AC, then click Add. You can also mark entries as Player to control what is visible in player mode.

2. Manage Initiative Order

Entries are automatically sorted by initiative. The tracker highlights the current turn so you always know who’s acting next.

3. Track HP and Damage

• Use the + / - buttons to adjust HP
• Set a custom value to control how much damage or healing is applied
• HP is automatically capped between 0 and max HP

4. View HP States (Player Mode)

Instead of showing exact HP, players see status indicators:

• ✅ Healthy – Above 75% HP
• ⚠️ Injured – Below 75% HP
• 🩸 Bloodied – Below 50% HP
• 🔥 Critical – Below 10% HP
• 💀 Down – 0 HP

5. Apply Conditions

Click condition icons to apply effects like Poisoned, Stunned, Grappled, and more. Conditions are visible to both DM and players depending on visibility settings.

6. Control Visibility

Use the Show / Hide toggle to control what players can see. Hidden enemies remain invisible in player mode.

7. Switch Between DM and Player Mode

• DM Mode: Full control with all stats visible
• Player Mode: Limited view with hidden stats and HP states

8. Share Your Session

Click Share to generate a link for your players. This allows them to follow combat without seeing hidden information.

Tips for Best Results

• Use visibility toggles to manage hidden enemies or surprise encounters
• Track large battles by grouping enemies with similar stats
• Use HP states instead of numbers to keep tension high for players
• Apply conditions consistently to avoid forgetting effects mid-combat
• Use mobile mode at the table for quick turn tracking

Do players see monster HP and stats?

No. In player mode, monster HP is replaced with status indicators like Bloodied or Injured

What does “Bloodied” mean?

Bloodied means a creature is at or below 50% of its maximum HP. It provides a clear visual cue without revealing exact health values.

Can I hide enemies from players?

Yes. Use the Show / Hide button to control which entries are visible in player mode.

Does the turn order sync between DM and players?

Yes. When properly shared or synced, players will see the current turn update as the DM advances the tracker.

Can I track conditions like stunned or poisoned?

Yes. The tool includes a full set of condition icons that can be toggled on each combatant.

What happens when HP reaches 0?

The tracker displays a 💀 Down status, making it easy to identify defeated or unconscious characters.

Can I use this on mobile?

Yes. The interface is fully responsive and designed for use on phones and tablets during live sessions.

Is my data saved?

The data is stored for a short period of no more than 1 month before it's cleared from the database, If the DM version is closed there is no recovery
